Itinerary

Day 1

Our guide meets you at Entebbe International Airport or your Kampala hotel. Begin the scenic drive southwest through the rolling hills of Uganda toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes approximately 8–9 hours with stops for lunch and photography at the Equator crossing. Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi in the evening, check in, and enjoy a briefing about the next day's gorilla trek.

Accommodation: Lodge near Bwindi (sector determined by permit allocation)

Day 2

Early breakfast, then transfer to the park headquarters for the mandatory pre-trek briefing at 7:30 AM. Assigned to a gorilla family group, you embark on a guided trek through the ancient rainforest — tracking can take 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas' location. Upon finding the family, spend a magical hour observing mountain gorillas feeding, playing, and interacting in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax, or take an optional community walk to meet the Batwa pygmy people.

Accommodation: Same lodge as previous night

Day 3

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out. Drive back to Entebbe or Kampala with a lunch stop en route. Arrive in the evening for your onward flight or overnight stay. End of safari.

What to pack: Sturdy hiking boots, long trousers, rain jacket, gardening gloves, insect repellent, camera (no flash), and a daypack with water and snacks.
